Just got the first samples of the new foil frames made from PCB material. They look great and I am looking forward to test them.

The frame offers the following features:

• Stiff frame for holding the hydrophobic foil
• Temperature resistant for curing the foil coating on the frame
• Grounded metallic layer on the bottom to reduce electrostatic charge on the foil
• Contacts for the ITO glass grounding with special pin (top right) to measure dropplet movement
• Easy to reproduce in open source
