An archetype that has signification and attracts attention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invention<\/strong> is the act of turning imagination into a new product or service by solving objective technical problems in expectation of some improvement or advantage.<\/p>\n<p>And the<strong> Diffusion<\/strong>,\u00a0the process by which a new idea or new product is communicated through and accepted by the market or members of a social system.<\/p>\n<p>Henry Chesbrough, in 2006 defined <strong>Open innovation<\/strong> as the use of purposive inflows and outflows of knowledge to accelerate internal innovation and expand the markets for external use of innovation, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-855 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gaudi.ch\/GaudiLabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/OpenInnovationModel.png\" alt=\"Open Innovation Model\" width=\"524\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gaudi.ch\/GaudiLabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/OpenInnovationModel.png 2272w, http:\/\/www.gaudi.ch\/GaudiLabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/OpenInnovationModel-300x183.png 300w, http:\/\/www.gaudi.ch\/GaudiLabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/OpenInnovationModel-768x469.png 768w, http:\/\/www.gaudi.ch\/GaudiLabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/OpenInnovationModel-1024x625.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 524px) 100vw, 524px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And later in 2014 as a distributed process based on purposively managed knowledge flows across organizational boundaries, using pecuniary and non-pecuniary mechanisms in line with the organizations business model.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly,\u00a0Eric von Hippel uses the same term of Open Innovation to define am more democratized innovation. He states that Innovation is open when all information related to innovation is public good, nonreivalrous, nonexcludable. Wheras the network is defined by the interaction (edges) of individual actors (nodes).
